Container overview
A 20-foot open side unit adds a door opening in one side wall in addition to the standard end doors. Cargo can be placed directly into position with a forklift rather than pushed the length of the container.
The configuration suits long items that cannot be turned inside the box, multi-drop loading where cargo is removed in a set order, and cargo staged against a dock or platform along the side of the unit.
Open side openings vary by build. Some units carry a pair of swing doors in a portion of the side wall, others open the full length. Confirm the opening dimensions of the assigned unit before planning the load, and allow clear swing space alongside the container.
